Bengaluru: Government complains against governor - Vala being shifted shortly?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Begaluru, Dec 22: Some sources claim that there is likelihood of the transfer of Karnataka governor, Vajubhai Vala, to either Madhya Pradesh or some other north Indian state. They added that there is possibility of the current governor of Madhya Pradesh, O P Kohli,l succeeding him as Karnataka governor.

Vala, it is said, faces language problem, and there are certain political considerations behind the coming transfer, it is said. It is learnt that some top BJP leaders from here have complained to the central leadership that Vala has soft corner for the state government, although he has stood his ground in rejecting to sign certin bills and remaining firm on appointment of vice chancellors to universities. A BJP leader says that therefore the union government is thinking in favour of appointing a strict governor to Karnataka which is on the threshold of facing assembly election.

Some Raj Bhavan officials have said that Vala himself has sought for his transfer from here as he feels that it is difficult to handle administration by using Hindi as medium of communication. The governor, it is learnt, finds it difficult to manage things with English and Kannada too. Therefore, reportedly he has opted to be transferred to Madhya Pradesh.

In the meantime, the Congress government in the state has complained to the union home ministry against the state governor's refusal to sign the bill meant to protect interests of state government employees who got the benefit of reservation-based promotions, which has been struck down by the Supreme Court. "After the governor sent back the ordinance prepared on the issue, as per his suggestion, the bill had got the nod of both houses of the legislature. Therefore, he was not right in refusing to sign it and sending the bill for Presidential assent," the state government has said in its letter.

There had also been rumours about the leaders opting to make Vajubhai Vala the chief minister of Gujarat, as he is backed by the experience of having functioned as finance minister there and that Modi also was backing him to the post. However, taking into age factor and some local political compulsions, the BJP leaders now want to elevate some local leader as the next chief minister, sources said.

    In Karnataka Kannada is the primary and official language to deal matters. Knowing this why Vala has been posted as Governor to Karnataka. Being Hindiwala he should have been posted to Northern states. Why this confusion and hue and cry over this issue at this juncture?

    Modi wants to conquer India by hook or by crook. His governors are his co-conspirators. He has put the constitution on a slippery slope.
    Prime Minister Narendra Modi thinks of himself as the king-emperor of India. He wants to capture all the states, by fair means or foul. His claim on the electorate is supposedly his ‘charisma’, and his oratorical and organisational ability to capture crowds. In this there is no one to challenge him unless they do so collectively – as was done in Bihar by the mahagathbandan. In Uttar Pradesh, there was no collectivity even within the Samajwadi Party (SP).
    In case no party or pre-poll coalition has a clear majority, the governor should select the chief minister in the order of preference indicated below:

    the group of parties which had pre-poll alliance commanding the largest number;
    the largest single party staking a claim to form the government with the support of others;
    a post-electoral coalition with all partners joining the government; and
    a post-electoral alliance with some parties joining the government and the remaining including independents supporting the government from outside
    It is self-evident that these principles have been violated in the case of Manipur and Goa.
    When he became prime minister in 2014, Modi changed virtually all the governors and lieutenant-governors. The score card is as follows:

    Modi’s governors
    Total Pre-Modi Modi
    States 29 03 26
    Union Territory 07 00 07
    The governors of Goa and Manipur are guilty of immense political corruption violating constitutional principles. They have demonstrated no concern for democracy or democratic principles or the importance of a people’s mandate.
    BJP wanted to repeat Delhi in Karnataka misusing Governor power for the electoral gains. Modi’s Governors have sabotaged Democracy and once again grand preparation is on to conquer Karnataka as state slipping for coalition government.

    India is not saffron. India is country and Saffron is colour.
    India is united not on lines of religion (unlike Pakistan).
    India is united under constitution which speaks for tolerance and mutual respect.

    If you want Hindu land by breaking India, It is your choice and label your self as anti-national.
