Udupi, Feb 7: Madhava Karkada, father of a student, has registered a complaint with cyber crime station here alleging that disgraceful messages regarding his son are being spread on WhatsApp accusing him of having stolen a bike. This incident was reported on Tuesday February 6 at Saligrama near here.

It is alleged by the father of the victim student that Dinesh Bangera, a resident of Gundmi, has circulated a false and insulting message on WhatsApp saying, 'This student has the habit of stealing bikes and he has been arrested and has confessed to his crime. Be careful of him' In addition, he has put the photo of the victim and also the name of his father.

Madhava Karkada clarified that his son has not taken part in any theft and no complaint is registered against him at any of the police stations. This message is posted on WhatsApp just to malign me and my son. So strict action should be taken against Dinesh Bangera and the group admin. He has registered a complaint in this regard.
