Uppinangadi : Assault on Bus Owner - Private Buses Go Off the Road

Puttur, Aug 11: A gang of 10 members had waylaid Harish Bhat, who owns Raghavendra Motors at 6 pm on Saturday, August 9 and assaulted him at Uppinangadi. Raghavendra Motors operates services between Uppinangady and Beltangady.



As part of their protest against the above incident, private buses plying between Uppingady and Beltangady have gone off the roads today, demanding the arrest of those responsible for the above incident.

Government buses however, are operating on the route as usual.
