The Jesuits are doing yeomen service not just in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu & Maharashtra but all across India where their Institutions have attained International fame and from where the Students have gone to all parts of the world and attained name and fame and keeping the SJ Flag ALWAYS high.

My own Father, his brother , myself all my 4 brothers and all our children graduated from the Jesuit Institutions Like St. Joseph College, St. Aloysius College and others.

Sadly these days vocations to priesthood are few.
But in Case of the Famed Jesuits which are actually just a few, its impossible to fill the huge vacuum created by the passing away from this world as each of them is almost a Institution by himself.
Just 3-4 names out of the many are fitting examples:

Late Rev Cecil Saldanha SJ- Botanist of immense value & fame
Late Rev Ronnie Prabhu SJ -Respected by all religions
Late Rev Ambrose Pinto SJ- Fighter of the downtrodden

Many of the senior Jesuits like Rev Stan Lourdswamy and several others also fall into this rare category of Priests of God who are totally selfless and 100 % dedicated to their vocation.

Namaskar! Indeed this is a red letter happening for Mangaluru. Jesuits arrived here in 1878, and their contribution is tremendous and still continues.

The first resident Parish priest of the Rosario Cathedral was a Jesuit - Fr.Urban Stien....Fr.Augusts Muller founded Kankanady Hospital, St.Aloysius College is a yeoman institution here.

the Jesuit superior general is also known as the "Black Pope" not only because he wears black; but, he is seen as the most powerful after the Pope in the church. The present Pope Francis is the first Jesuit to be Pope!

The congregation of Jesuit priests is a blessing for our South Kanara, Mangalore in particular.
Jesuit institutes are pioneer institutions with quality education with selfless personal interests.
I think we need to facilitate the Superior General, Fr Arthuro Sosa in a more bigger way and thank him and his institutes for all that they have offered to the Mangalorean society,
