Mumbai: Bhavani Foundation holds third annual blood donation camp

Mumbai, Apr 2: Bhavani Foundation with the cooperation of Fortis Hospital here, on Saturday March 31 held its third annual blood donation camp at V time square auditorium, Belapur.

Bhavani Shipping Services India Private Limited managing director and Bhavani Foundation founder president Daddangadi Chelladka Kusumodara Deranna Shetty chaired the camp. N S Logistics Private Limited managing director Santhosh Shetty lit the lamp and inaugurated the camp.

Entrepreneur Raghava Rai, social workers Muralidhar Palve Bhilavale, Bhavani Foundation executive committee member Navinchandra R Sanil, Fortis Hospital medical officer Dr Pradnya Karat were on the dais.



Nearly 390 people including office bearers of local organizations, Bhavani Shipping Services Company officers, staff, relatives of Shetty family, well wishers came forward to donate blood. Blood from nearly 106 people among them was rejected. Nearly 102 units blood from 250 people was collected. Fortis Hospital's Sanjay Chawan, Muralidhar Palve, N L Logistics executive president Santhosh Shetty, Sunil Pagore, Rameshwar Rajput, Suchindra Durgude, Jagai Padvale, Ajay Soori, S Rajashree, R Shilpa and K Ashwini cooperated in collection of blood.

Foundation vice president Jeekshit Kusumodhar Shetty welcomed everyone and delivered the keynote address. Former honorary chief secretary Rajalaksmi Subrahmanya introduced the guests and compered the programme. Joint treasurer Navin Sanjiv Shetty and Ronald Thomas presented flower bouquets to the guests and honored them. Honorary chief secretary Seema Pavar introduced the team of doctors and thanked the gathering.
