Mangaluru, Oct 9: An elderly person and his daughter who were both sick died near Halekote here on Monday October 8.
They are identified as Halekote resident U K Mohammed (80) and his daughter Jameela (38).
Jameela was suffering from fever and was admitted into a private hospital in Mangaluru four days ago. She died without responding to treatment on Monday morning at 4 am.
Her father who was sick for sometime also died at 8.30 am on Monday. Mohammed was not informed of the death of his daughter. The house of Jameela is close to the house of her in laws. It is said that Mohammed died after the dead body of his daughter was brought home.
While Mohammed has left behind his wife, five daughters and six sons, Jameela has a son.
