Bantwal, Oct 11: Karnataka state Congress committee president Dinesh Gundu Rao has appointed campaigner, creative leader Baby Kunder as Bantwal Block Congress committee president. He was appointed on recommendation by former minister B Ramanath Rai and Dakshina Kannada district Congress president K Harish Kumar.
Baby Kunder is B A degree holder and had leadership qualities in him since student life as he was the president of students union when he was a student at S V S college and indulged in several pro people activities. He started working in Vijaya bank with the help of veteran leader B Janardhan Poojary and former minister B Ramanath Rai. He retired voluntarily after being branch manager of the bank working in several places for 31 years and indulged in social work completely.
He was close to former minister B Ramanath Rai and after his retirement worked in congress party. He was serving as vice president of Dakshina Kannada district Congress vice president.
He was a national Kabaddi player and had held several tournaments. He was also the president of Bantwal taluk amateur Kabaddi association at present. He was the office bearer of Bengaluru Billava sangha and served in Bantwal taluk Billava samaja seva sangha, several social, spiritual, education, sports and cooperative organizations.
Young leader Sudeep Kumar Shetty Mane is appointed president of Panemangaluru block Congress committee. He was appointed by Karnataka pradesh Congress committee president Dinesh Gundu Rao on recommendations by former minister B Ramanath Rai and Dakshina Kannada district Congress president K Harish Kumar.
Sudeep was elected twice as member in Mane gram panchayat. He was well known as creative and able leader. He has a B A degree and was the leader of St Philomena College student union and had leadership qualities inculcated in him since childhood.
He is the current president of Mane Yuvaka mandala, Ullalthi seva samithi, district amateur Kabaddi association and active in pro people activities in several social and spiritual organizations.
