Udupi, Oct 20: Udupi district citizen committee trust has been providing two ambulances and electric run mobile freezing coffin free of charge for citizen services for the last five years. They performed Ayudha Puja in a unique way at the committee office premises.

Koraga community priest Sunder Koraga Manchi performed religious customs. A green campaign chariot which travelled to two taluks after setting in motion by the deputy commissioner last year was also offered puja. Kukkikatte resident Suresh also got his two wheeler blessed by Sunder Koraga. The priest was felicitated in the presence of elite after the pujas.

Veera Vinayaka Nasik arts troupe provided free instrumental music. Priest Sunder said that he has been performing the role of priest in religious programmes held by Koraga community for the last several years. “Other communities had not given me an opportunity so far, but the citizen committee of Udupi invited me for vehicle blessing and gave a message that there should be no discrimination in pujas.”
