Bengaluru: ACB conducts raids at BBMP office in Bommanahalli

Bengaluru, Feb 7: Anti corruption bureau sleuths have conducted raids at Bommanahalli office of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike on Thursday. More than twenty of its officials are verifying documents in the office.

The raids are conducted in the wake of allegations that fake accounts are opened in the names of civic workers and of financial irregularities from provident fund dues received from those accounts. Irregularities to the tune of Rs 550 crores including Rs 380 crores from PF and EPF of fake 6,600 accounts of civic workers are alleged. ACB officials are questioning ACF Rajalaxmi while scrutinising documents in ward office.

Complaints on irregularities happening in the office were heard since a long time.
