Kundapur: Founder president Mahmood Beary of Beary's Educational Institution passes away

Kundapur, Feb 10: Beary's Educational Institution Kundapur, founder president Haji Master Mahmood Beary passed away on Saturday, February 9 at Manipal Hospital due to health issues. He was 76.

He was son of Haji Mohiudeen Beary and Baby Fathima. Mahmood Beary took over the educational institution which was formed by his grandfather Sufi Saheb in the year 1906. In order to provide education for the students of Kodi, Master Mahmood Beary started Beary's Educational Institution and took forward it as president for 39 years.

It was started as Urdu school which is now grown as Beary's Educational Institution. He started Anganwadi in his own house by his own expenditure and run it for 15 years. This institution consists of Pre schooling up to professional courses.

For his achievements in education field, he was awarded Udupi district Rajyotsava Award in the year 2014. Several other organisations have felicitated him for his achievements. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, four brothers and six sisters.
