Udupi, Jan 26: Members of the Congress party held a protest meeting against the alleged “anti-people policies” of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the State here on Saturday.
Former Minister Vasanth V. Salian said that no attempts were being made to clear the nearly 1.25 lakh applications for mutation pending at the Udupi Taluk Office. The delay in providing ration cards to the poor had hit them hard, he added.
