Udupi: Dr Ramdas Pai Chosen Registrar of Manipal Academy

Udupi, Jan 27: Dr Ramdas M Pai, chancellor of Manipal University, has been chosen as the registrar of Manipal Academy of General Education. He succeeds K K Pai, due to whose demise, the post of the registrar had fallen vacant.

Other office-bearers of the Academy are as follows: President - Dr A Krishna Rao, vice-president - T Satish U Pai, secretary - Dr H S Ballal, administrative officer - Dr H Shantaram, members - H V Kamath, K Devadas Kamat, N Padmakar Nayak, Dr P L N Rao, Abhaychandra Jain, Dr K P Madhyasta and K Annappa Shenoy.

The above office-bearers were chosen at a meeting of the Academy held on Sunday January 25 here. The Academy has also decided to shift its office to the administrative building of Manipal University shortly.

Dr Ramdas Pai was earlier functioning as the secretary of the Academy. Dr A Krishna Rao had been made the president of the Academy on January 1 this year. Dr H S Ballal, who has taken over as secretary, was earlier working in the capacity of the vice-president of the Academy.
