Karkala: Missing stone form of serpent god found - police warn rumour mongers

Karkala, Feb 12:  The stone form of serpent god consecrated in a shrine located at Bhramari within Nitte village here was found from a local well.

Mudara Shettigar from Nitte village had filed complaint in the rural police station here about the said form going missing from the platform located within the shrine located in his land.  He had said that he found the form missing when he approached the shrine on February 6 to offer puja.

The same was found from a well near the said shrine on February 8. It is suspected that a mentally unstable person from the region would have committed this act.

In the meantime, police sub-inspector of the rural station here noted that malicious propaganda is going on relating to the said incident through social websites. He said that stern steps would be taken against those who create such false messages and also those who forward them.
