Mangaluru: Feast of Relic of Saint Anthony – devotees attend Day 7 of novena

Mangaluru, Feb 13: Fr Sunil Veigas, parish priest of Our Lady of Mercy Church Fajjir offered the Holy Mass on the seventh day of the novena in preparation for the feast of Relic at Milagres Church for the intention of workers.

Fr Sunil in his homily said, “Jesus when became a human being He worked as a carpenter and upheld the dignity of labour. St Paul was a tent maker and he earned his living by the fruit of his labour. Work is not a burden but a responsibility which we all are called upon to do joyfully. When we do our duty well we not only earn our livelihood but also contribute to well being of humanity and to the upkeep of God’s creation.” He thanked for all categories of workers and prayed God’s choicest blessings on them.



Fr Francis D’Souza, assistant director of the institutes, conducted the novena. Fr Onil D’Souza thanked the choir group from Nithyadarnagar Church. A large number of devotees participated in the devotion.
