Mangalore: BJP Condemns Assault on Women in Pub

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jan 28: The Dakshina Kannada district unit of the BJP has condemned the assault on women by some youth in a pub on Saturday January 24.  "The party demands strict legal action against those responsible for the violent attack. This is the clear stand of the party," it said.

At the same time, the party has called upon the citizens to oppose illegally run pubs, consumption of intoxicants there and also to condemn semi-nude dance performances in such places.

District spokesman of the party in a statement noted that the city has a number of schools and colleges, and asked all the concerned to behave responsibly to ensure that the students do not go astray from their aims due to diversion of attention towards such addictions and attractions.

Does anybody belive any action will be taken in our country against such hooligans? Did the BJP government convict any body who was involved in ravaging the churches.
