Kundapur, Feb 14: The court here concluded hearing in a four-year-old murder attempt case. The presiding officer of the additional district and sessions court here said on Wednesday that the charges levelled against the accused have been proved and the quantum of sentence would be pronounced on February 20.

Sathish Poojary and Rohan Sheregar were charged with attacking Guguraj Poojary from Anagalli Herikudru with iron rods with the objective of killing him at Shastri circle in the town on the night of December 27, 2015.

The personnel of the police station here, who probed the complaint, had filed charge sheet against the accused in the court. one of the accused, Rohan Sheregar is no more. Relating to the case, 15 witnesses were examined. Judge of the court, Prakash Khanderi,announced that the charge levelled against accused Satish Poojary has been proved, and that the quantum of sentence would be announced on February 20.
