Bantwal: Goats stolen in car, accused arrested

Bantwal, Feb 16: Rizwan, son of Moosabba, resident of Talapady under B Mooda village of the taluk was arrested on Friday February 15, by the rural police on the accusation of stealing goats that were left for grazing. He is remanded to judicial custody for 15 days.

Ibrahim, resident of Kanchinadka Padavu of Sajipanadu village had left four goats, the value of which is said to be Rs 10,000, to graze near his house. He has accused Rizwan of taking them by Swift car and trying to sell them.

It has come to light during the inquiry that Rizwan had taken the car on rent from a person in Ullal, saying that he has come from Dubai on vacation and he needs it for sight seeing. He used the same car to transport the stolen goats.
