Mangalore, Feb 14: It is gathered, that the district unit of the BJP has finalized the name of its district general secretary Nalin Kumar Kateel as the party's candidate from Mangalore Loksabha constituency.

Party sources claimed that even the Sangh Parivar outfits have given their nod for this choice. After the party decided to shift its current MP and state unit president D V Sadanand Gowda to Udupi from Mangalore, lot of maneuvering, permutations and combinations were going on for selecting a suitable candidate for the Mangalore constituency. While the name of S R Rangamurthy, Campco president, hogged the limelight most of the time, ex-MP and state spokesman of the BJP Dhananjay Kumar had also tried his hand at getting party nomination from here.

It is expected, that the name of Nalin Kumar will be announced within a couple of days by the party leaders, as his candidature has drawn support from both the party unit and the Sangh Parivar outfits.
