Puttur, Feb 16: A person from Kadaba who had gone to Mysore to meet his lover on Valentine's Day, is learnt to have ended his life, because of the frustration of not being able to meet her.

A man named Jayakumar, son of Bhaskar from Goliadka Subbamoole of Renjilady village near Kadaba, was working in a private company in Bangalore. He fell in love with a nurse, a native of Kodagu district, working in a hospital in Bangalore. As she could not adjust to the working conditions there, she reportedly got a job at Apollo BGS Hospital Mysore, with Jayakumar's assistance. However, once she went to Mysore, she reportedly was disinclined to talk to Jayakumar or meet him.

On Valentine's Day, Jayakumar went to Mysore to meet her and visited the hospital where she worked. As she refused to speak to him, he was shocked and hence, committed suicide by consuming poison at a spot near the hospital on Saturday February 14, it is gathered. He is survived by parents and three siblings.

Mysore Saraswatipuram police personnel are investigating the case.
