Puttur: Societal Betterment through Street Plays

Puttur, Feb 19: Effective use of street plays will help in rectifying the follies  being committed by the government and the society by making people open their eyes to the happenings around them,  said I K Bolwar, theatre artiste, speaking at the theatre programme held at Vivekanad College, Puttur recently.

The event was organized by Hindi Sangh of the college.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr K Vishnu, chairman, Hindi department, said that there is a need to create awareness on societal problems among the public through the street plays.

Gautam welcomed the gathering. Tirumaleshwari proposed vote of thanks. Sadanand Mallya  compered the programme.

Durgaratna, convener, Hindi Sangh, Dr H G Shridhar, chairman, Kannada department and Dr Shreesha Kumar, lecturer, Sanskrit department were present on the occasion.
