Kundapur: Water Supply Work Outsourced to Mitigate Woes

Kundapur, Feb 20: Complaints relating to irregular drinking water supply and such other complaints relating to water supply will be sorted out by the management. The municipal administration proposes to outsource the entire water supply work to ensure that complaints are minimized said K Mohandas Shenoy, president of the local municipality, speaking at the town municipal council’s special session held here on Wednesday February 18.

Certain measures will be under taken to ensure that the residents of the town get water supply all the 24 hours of the day, he said.

In the past, people faced lot of problems during summer season, but the implementation of water purifier unit under KUDCEMP scheme has largely reduced the problems in the past two years. It was possible to supply required amount of water to the public after the unit was installed, said Shenoy.

Nagraj Kanchan, municipal vice-president, Satish Shetty, president of the standing committee and Rayappa, chief officer, were present on the occasion.
