Mangalore, Feb 21: A condolence meeting to pay tributes to Ramachandra Shetty, veteran journalist, who recently breathed his last, was held at the Mangalore Press Club on Thursday February 19.
The meeting was jointly organized by the Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists' Association and Mangalore Press Club.
Harsha, president, Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists' Association presided over the meeting.
Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president, Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Dakshina Kannada district, reminisced his association and experience with the deceased journalist.
Guruvappa T Balepuni, general secretary, Hemachandra Kairangala, photographer and B Ravindra Shetty, president of the Association, hailed the late Shetty for rare journalistic ideals he held high throughout his career.
Harish Rai, general secretary of the Press Club, recollected his association with Shetty.
