Mangalore: Urwa Parishioners Contribute Rs 1.26 Lac for Orissa Victims

Mangalore, Feb 21: The parishioners of Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Urwa, donated Rs 1.26 lac towards rebuilding the houses of Christians in Orissa which were affected during the communal violence last year.  

 

Urwa parish priest Fr Victor D’Mello recently handed over a demand draft (DD) for this amount to Mulky Divine Call Centre superior Fr Cyprian Lewis, to be sent to the Archdiocese of Bhubhaneshwar, Orissa. 

The amount is expected to benefit at least two or three families.
