Mangalore, Mar 10: The policemen, at the conclusion of the three-day police custody granted by a local court, produced terror suspect Shabir Bhatkal alias Shabir Moulvi, in the court of the JMFC 3rd court here on Monday March 9.

It may be recalled that the district police, who were on the look out for Shabir to put together some missing links in their investigation of terrorist activities in the district and elsewhere, had brought Shabir from Pune after the Maharashtra policemen had arrested him.

The court has extended Shabir's judicial custody upto March 18. The police sources claim that during the period Shabir was in their custody, they had interrogated him and that he had given vital information about his contacts with Riaz Bhatkal and details of various discussions he had with Riaz on terrorist activities.
