Mangalore: Tippers Collide - Two Die, Three Injured

Mangalore, Mar 10: On the night of Monday March 9, two tipper trucks collided with each other and then moved towards different directions because of the impact. One of the tippers mowed down two pedestrians and injured three more.

The accident occurred at Koorikatta road of Meenakaliya near Bykampady. Those who lost life in the accident have been identified as Shivappa (30) and Yamunappa (28) from Aladakatte village of Badami taluk, Bagalkot district. Out of the three injured, the condition of Hanumappaiah (25) is stated to be serious. All of them were construction labourers and were walking along the road together.

Both the tippers were empty. Drivers of both the tipper truckers fled from the accident scene. Panambur police have registered a case.
