Mangalore, Mar 11: In an incident that occurred at Bolar near Hoige Bazar at around 4.15 pm on Tuesday March 10, unidentified persons moving on a bike, flashed a sword at another bike-borne youth and injured him. The injured has been identified as Arun, a resident of Tokkottu Overbridge near the city.
Arun was injured in the head. He was immediately hospitalized, where he is recovering. Arun was moving on his motor cycle in the company of his friend Vasu, from Bajilkeri in the city to Tokkottu.
The motive of the attackers and reason for their behaviour are yet to be ascertained. It is suspected that Abhi and some of his accomplices, nursing some old animosity with the injured, were behind the attack. Pandeshwar police have registered a case.
