Karkala, Mar 12: The BJP will be convening a meet of its activists at the Gandhi Maidan here on Sunday March 29 at 4.30 pm.
Around 20, 000 people are expected to participate in the meet, being conducted in preparation to the Lok Sabha election, informed Bola Sadashiva Shetty, BJP block president, speaking at a press conference held here on Wednesday March 11.
As part of the meet, a huge procession, in which large number of party workers and fans are expected to participate, will be taken out from Swaraj Maidan to Gandhi Maidan, prior to the meet, he explained.
“The participation of Anant Kumar, national secretary, BJP, D V Sadanand Gowda, state president, Navjot Singh Siddhu, member of parliament and Shruti, sandalwood actress will be the star attractions of the programme,” he explained.
V Sunil Kumar, secretary, National Yuva Morcha and other leaders will organize the activists at the booth level in Karkala assembly constituency limits from Friday March 13 to Wednesday March 25, Shetty stated.
The BJP had attained victory by a margin of over 10,000 votes from the local assembly constituency in the year 2004. We will employ similar techniques this time to ensure that the party will emerge victorious in the Lok Sabha election by improving the margin of victory, he said.
