Mangalore, Mar 14: JD (S) state general secretary Vittal Mohammed Kunhi said that his party will field a candidate in the local Lok Sabha constituency, as the CPI (M) party to which the seat had been earmarked, has expressed its unwillingness to contest from here.

Probably, a man from one of the minority communities will be fielded by the party. Discussions are in progress, he revealed.
