Mangalore: Two Die in Bus, Car Collision Near Haleyangady

Mangalore, Mar 15: Two persons were killed and three others were seriously injured after the car in which they were travelling, collided with a private bus at Chilimbi near the Haleyangady National Highway on Saturday March 14.

The deceased have been identified as S R Kumar, the driver of the ill-fated car, and Prasanna from Shimoga. Laxminarayan, Saraswathi, and Shasi, have been critically injured.

The 15 passengers of the private bus escaped with minor injuries as the bus hit a tree following the collision with the car. Sources said that the car was bound for Mangalore while the bus was on its way to Udupi.

The locals rushed to the rescue after hearing the loud noise of the collision. A case had been filed at Mulky police station
