Mangalore: Kalakar Credit Society Gets State Government Approval

Mangalore, Mar 16:
“The government has sanctioned permission for starting the Kalakar Credit Co-operate Society and a share investment campaign”, said K Annayya Sherigar, chief promoter, at a press conference on Saturday March 14.
 
“The association is being established for the welfare of artists. Providing financial assistance for the artists, insurance policy, construction of a ‘Kalabhavan', and scholarships for the children of poor artists are the main aims of the society”, he said.
 
Sherigar asked artists, litterateurs, and journalists of all classes to be members of the organization.
 
Promoters Ratnakar Rao Kavoor, Prakash Kadri, Swarna Sundar, and Geeta Saralaya, were present at the press conference.
