Bengaluru: Former personal assistant of Eshwarappa seeks police protection

Bengaluru, Apr 13: Former personal assistant of K S Eshwarappa has approached Amruthahalli police station here with a request to provide protection to him and his family from BJP state president, B S Yeddyurappa's personal assistant, N R Santosh and his associates. He has said that he faces threat to his life from Santosh and his accomplices.

With this, the case pertaining to a case filed by Vinay relating to his kidnap attempt on May 17, 2017 has come to the fore. Vinay said in his statement to the police that he has the diary, CD and pen drive connected with Yeddyurappa and pointed out that N R Santosh had voluntarily stated before the police that Santosh had tried to kidnap him to take them back. He said that the investigating officer had asked him to produce these items and expressed willingness to provide them too the court. "Yeddyurappa, N R Santosh and their supporters might attack me, and snatch away the above items by following all measures and even by murdering me if the need is felt. Therefore, we need protection," he has said.
