Mangaluru, Apr 13: Nitin Jogi (35) from Ullal Bandikotya, who was being treated in a hospital here after having suffered serious injury due to stabbing, breathed his last on Friday April 12.

Reportedly, Jogi was stabbed and injured on April 7 with a gaff used in cockfights by a person identified as Rajanish. Jogi, who eked out a living by working in the local area as coolie, is survived by parents and a sister.

Rajanish and Nitin were friends but recently differences had cropped up between the two over some silly issues. After verbal friction on Sunday, Rajanish had stabbed Jogi with a gaff. Rajanish was arrested when he returned home and was having lunch. The accused already faces some minor cases filed in Ullal police station, sources said.
