Udupi, Apr 14: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru candidate of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) advocate P Parameshwar, addressing media here on Saturday, April 13 said, “70-year-old Congress and 10-year-old BJP government has failed to fulfill needs of Indians.”

“Both parties have failed to provide justice in terms of eradicating poverty, employment, housing, health, harassment, terrorism, secularism, and violence against women. Communal riots were at peak during their governments. Congress in the name of secularism and BJP in the name of communalism were not able to fulfill the minimum needs of people. Agriculture is completely in loss. Youths are facing severe unemployment. Prices of essential commodities are increasing.

“Both parties are simply wasting time in targeting each other. They have failed to safeguard the interests of people.

“Today India needs a government which can shape the future of the country. BSP leader Mayawati won four times in Uttar Pradesh and successfully provided basic facilities for people. She made the state free from corruption and terrorism. She distributed lands for the landless, generated employment for youths and made the state economically independent.

Hence, India needs Mayawati led government. If she comes to power, definitely she will find a permanent solution for coastal and Malnad problems.

Modi government had promised many things in 2014 election, but none of the promises have been fulfilled. It has sustained by telling lies.

“Farmers are not getting any support price for their crops. The so called ‘Chowkidar’ has failed in solving problems of the country. Then how can he be a ‘Chowkidar’ of India. Thousands of farmers have committed suicide. Modi had promised that he will bring back black money and deposit amount to their account. But nothing happened in reality.

“BSP will win 50 to 55 Lok Sabha seats. Our party will not give any fake promises like BJP and Congress.

“In Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, the situation of JD(S) candidate is unreliable. Shobha visited her constituency only during some important event. People have realised the situation. They have been observing and experienced the performance of the MP in five years. I urge you to vote BSP to build strong nation,” he said.

Uday Kumar Thallur, district president, BSP Udupi unit, Prashant Thottam, general secretary of district BSP, Manjunath P, advocate, Anand and others were present.
