Udupi: Prathyaksha campaigns for father Pramod Madhwaraj

Udupi, Apr 14: Congress–JD(S) coalition candidate Pramod Madhwaraj’s daughter Prathyaksha joined election campaign in support of her father on Saturday, April 13, at Baliga Fishnet Puttur.

She campaigned exclusively the entire day. On Saturday, she campaigned on behalf of her father. She travelled in and around Udupi city along with Congress party leaders namely Veronica Cornelio, Chandrika Shetty, Sunitha Shetty, Jyothi Hebbar, Yuvaraj and Ganesh Nergi.

Prathyaksha addressing the Fishnet employees said, “I came here for the election campaign on behalf of my father. I urge you to support my father. My father is ready to solve the problems of Udupi. He has done many developmental works in Udupi during his tenure as MLA, which is noticed by all. I urge people give a chance to him.”

Prathyaksha however denied speaking to the media and said, “I do not know much to say. I do not want media attention now. I just came here for a day to campaign for my father.”

Veronica Cornelio on the occasion said, “Pramod Madhwaraj is busy and could not visit more places in less time. So we have asked permission from Pramod to send his daughter with us for election campaign. Now she is pursuing LLB in Pune. She has come to hometown on three-day leave. We are also supporting her to communicate with the public. Earlier also she was involved in door to door campaign,” she said.

The party workers visited different factories in Hebri, Muddur, Udupi shopping malls, TM Pai Polytechnic Manipal, KMF Manipal and other places.
