Mangaluru, Apr 17: JCI Ganeshpura organised a highly beneficial summer camp at the aided Kalavar Higher Primary School, Chelairu.

Vikas Anchan, JJc president of JCI Ganeshpura presided over the function. In his keynote address, the chief guest Sarvajna Tantri, zone director of Junior JC Wing, Zone - XV said, “Parents, teachers and elders provide guidance to children and enable them to stand tall. We should always treat them with respected.”

Through the effective use of the art of storytelling, he infused self confidence in the children and enlightened them regarding the values of life.

Usha Mandar trained the students in paper craft. Joswin Fernandis conducted various activities to challenge their thinking process. Sharath Kumar familiarized them with the importance of personal hygiene. Deekshith Achrappady of Childline India provided information regarding Child Rights and Child Helpline (1098).

Ravindra Rao, of Vidyavikas Trust, who is a retired Headmaster of the School, Raghava Sanil, President of Old Students Association, headmistress in-charge of Kalavar Higher Primary School Shobha, president of JCI Ganeshpura Udaya Kumar, Jaycerette president Bharathi Shrisha Karmaran, Jaycees Deekshith, Chethan, Gangadhar, Jithashree and others were present. Sharath Kumar rendered the vote of thanks.
