Mangaluru, Apr 17: St Dominic Association, Ashoknagar parish staged a Konkani spiritual drama 'Salgi' on April 14.

The drama is written and conceptualised by Fr Allwyn Serrao, directed and acted by Christopher D'Souza and Clanvin Fernandes, Kalakul under the representation of the Logos Theatre troupe.

A short stage programme was held prior to the drama.

Sunil D'Cunha, president of the association welcomed the chief guest Fr Alwyn Serrao and the guests of honour Fr Andrew D'Souza and Fr Valerian D'Silva.

Richard Gonsalves introduced the chief guest on to the stage.

Fr Allwyn gave a beautiful introduction about 'Salgi' and detailed insights of the various works and achievements of the Padua Rang Adhyayan Kendr.

Fr Aquin Noronha, director of the association, also addressed the gathering.

The stage programme was then brought to an end after Paul D'Souza, secretary of the association delivered the vote of thanks.

The drama was staged extremely well and hence was warmly appreciated by the crowd who had gathered in large numbers from the parish and as guests.

At the end of the drama, a large number of audience came forward to present their feedback and compliments to the team and the efforts of the association.

The programme was enthusiastically compered by Sujatha Mendonca.
