Hassan: Rising glass of car window smothers child to death

Hassan, Apr 25: In an unfortunate incident which happened at Doddaganni village in Channarayanapatna taluk of the district on Wednesday April 24, a child died in most unexpected way.

The child which was killed in the incident was Ratan Shetty (3), son of Indrani Umesh from Dandishivara village, Turuvekere taluk in Tumakuru district.

Umesh, maternal uncle of the child, had taken Ratan to his plantation on Wednesday morning. He had left the boy inside the car and then got busy with irrigating the coconut plantation. The child had in the meanwhile, stretched its head out and was curiously watching the area. At that time,its hand touched the switch of the window glass as a result of which the glass rose from below and applied acute pressure on the child's neck.

Umesh immediately rushed the child with injured neck to the hospital but its life could not be saved.

    Very tragic and sad.Modern vehicles have their own tricks.One should never leave alone a small child for a single minute without overlook.Just the moment you turnaround they seem to be in trouble and that too grave.many times we hear such problems in modern car .children play with buttons try everything.Thatswhy dont leave your key iin car when baby or small child is in.second he should have given immediate mouth to muth breathing before taking the child to doctor or hospital till that time child doesnt have oxygen and suffers and die.Heartfelt sympathys to the family.I am sure now the uncle how he feels responsible for his death.But there are circumstances which come without our kowing.May his soul rest in peace.
