Kundapur: Bike-KSRTC bus collision - Rider succumbs to injuries

Kundapur, Apr 25: In a tragic accident that occurred at around 10.30 pm of Wednesday, April 25, on national highway 66 near Marvanthe of Trasi in the taluk between a bike and KSRTC bus, the rider of the bike lost his life.

The unfortunate victim of this accident is identified as Sandeep Poojary (27), a resident of Koni.

Sandeep is employed in Mysuru and had come down to his native place a few days ago on account of series of holidays. On the evening of Wednesday he had been to a function that was held at his aunt’s house at Maski near Navunda. As he was returning home after partaking in the programme, a KSRTC bus that was plying from Kundapur towards Byndoor hit his bike in a bid of overtaking.

Sandeep who was thrown on the road due to the impact of the collision was seriously injured. Though he was admitted to the Manipal hospital for treatment, he succumbed to his injuries in a little while.

A case in this regard is registered at Gangolli police station.
