Mangalore: City's Premier Newspaper Agent Renuka Prasanna Passes Away

Mangalore, Mar 27:
Renuka Prasanna (44), the proprietor of Renukaraj Newspaper Agency, located at Kankanady, who was premier newspaper agent in the city for the last two decades passed away in a hospital here at 2.00 am on Friday March 27.
 
Renuka was recently admitted at Fr Muller Hospital. He had been suffering from Leukemia for long. He had pledged to donate his eyes after his death.

He was actively involved in several social welfare and voluntary organizations.  Besides he was also the founder-secretary of Karavali Veera Shaiva Welfare Association. 
 
Renuka was the first newspaper agent of Canara Times Group in the city. Accordingly he held the unique distinction of being the first agent of city's first-ever English newspaper. Over the years he had expanded his trade and had become one of the prime newspaper agents in the city.

Renuka is survived by his parents, wife, son and a large number of well-wishers.
