Udupi, Mar 27: The DCIB sleuths were able to nab a person carrying gelatin sticks in large quantity near Padubidri here on Thursday March 27.

Acting on a tip-off, the Udupi District Crime Investigation Bureau (DCIB) seized a car carrying three boxes of explosives (gelatin sticks) at Padebettu under Padubdiri police station limits here on Thursday.

One Suresh Poojari was proceeding to Karkala when the police took him into custody. He was intercepted by police half the way. On interrogation, Poojari revealed he had more gelatin sticks stocked in his house. Police found 11 boxes of the explosive and a box of detonators at his house. The total material (15 boxes) including the van was valued at Rs 3.5 lac.

Suresh was handed over to Padubidiri police station for further investigation. Circle inspector Raju said so far they have been unable to establish any link between Naxals and Suresh.

    What was the intention of these explosives? Was it intended for Mining? Or Was it intended for promoting Muthaliks Hindutva? (Muthalik promised bombs in every housewife's hand to save culture!). Either way it is exploitation that is for sure one is mother nature and other is mother India.
