Udupi: Hit by car pedestrian dies, three injured

Udupi, Apr 26: A pedestrian was killed after a car hit him on Thursday April 25 at Hiriyadka in the district.

In this accident, some other pedestrians were injured.

The car in question reportedly was moving at high speed toward Hebri from the direction of Udupi. It hit some people walking beside the road. Out of the injured, the injuries sustained by Nanappa (51), from Idkal were of more serious nature. The injured were taken to hospital but Nanappa breathed his last on the way.

Shashidhar Shetty, Sumitra and Prakash Rathod from Hiriyadka, who suffered injuries in this accident, are being treated at a private hospital at Hiriyadka.

A case about this accident was registered at Hiriyadka police station.
