Mangalore: ‘Samskaravahini’ Camp From Apr 11

Mangalore, Mar 28: The summer camp ‘Samskaravahini’ will be held at Sullia from Sunday April 11 to Sunday April 18.

The week-long camp is being jointly organized by Keshav Kripa Veda and Kala Prathistana.

“Students will be given an education on culture and art and the camp is open for the students of all classes”, said Purohit Nagraj Bhat, convener, speaking at a press conference.

Various Veda and cultural scholars of the state will participate as the resource persons at the camp. He said that apart from this free food and books will be given to the students during the course of the camp.

“One hour of the day will be devoted to teaching hymns, the Bhagavad Gita and yoga. Activities like creative arts, songs, magic, mimicry, drama, paper-cutting, doll-making, and cartooning will be the part of the camp”, said Bhat.

Srikrishna Upadhyay, president, Prathistan, Sridevi Nagraj Bhat, convener, camp, and members Harish Sharma, Gopalkrishna Bhat, and N K Ramachandra Bhat Kambra, were present at the press conference.
