Udupi: Valuables Worth Rs 3 Lac Stolen - Domestic Help's Involvement Suspected

Udupi, Mar 30: Hosamane Vanaja Shedthi (60), from Karje village in a complaint filed with the Brahmavar policemen stated that cash and gold ornaments worth three lac rupees had been stolen from her house on March 27.

She explained that, she had removed her golden rope chain from her neck and concealed it under a cloth before going to take a bath that day. When she came back, the chain had gone missing. She found that Veeresh, her domestic help, had also gone missing.

Out of suspicion, she thoroughly checked her belongings and found that gold ornaments and cash placed in the almirah in the house too had gone missing. Even after elaborate search, the domestic help could not be found, she said.
