Bangalore: Operation Kamala continues Unabated: Frustrating Moments for Congress

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Mar 30: The BJP, which announced its candidates earlier than other parties and took up campaigning immediately thereafter, is trying to further its chances by indulging in Operation Kamala again, in an apparent reversal of earlier assurances by the Chief Minister and state president of the party that the operation was limited to just wresting away initiatives from the Congress and the JDS to unsettle the party from the seat. It seems to have been encouraged by the fact that the initial resentment the operation had caused among the long-time loyal workers of the party has become very feeble in the recent days.

Congress MLA from Channapatna, C P Yogeshwar, would be joining the party on Monday March 30. He is sure to be fielded by the BJP from Bangalore rural Lok Sabha constituency. Senior Congress leader V Somanna will be joining it on April 2. In the meantime, reportedly, the Congress leaders have succeeded in convincing senior leader and ex-minister D B Chandre Gowda not to cross over to the BJP. Sources said that he has postponed the decision for the present, as he is neither in a hurry nor interested to contest the Lok Sabha election.

In the meanwhile, rebel star Ambarish, union minister of state in the informaion and broadcasting ministry and Mandya MP, has also not announced his decision over the long-expected shifting of loyalties. Both the JDS and the BJP are expectant that he would join them. The Congress may block their initiatives by announcing him as its candidate from Mandya on Monday, it is expected.

Veteran actress Tara announced at a press conference held here on Sunday, that she would be joining the BJP on April 4. "I have wholeheartedly accepted the stated policies of the party and will actively campaign for its candidates in the coming election," she declared.

We are extremely worried and sad to see the Safron Brigade (BJP) getting stronger day by day, they have funds as well as influence to rope other loyal and disappointed workers from Congress & JD(S), the main reason is congress groupism and some greedy veterns who got tickets while many loyals and young workers have been neglected, just see how Mr. Bangrappa got his ticket even after ditching congress 4 times, this clearly shows the double standard in congress. Only god should save us.
