Puttur, Mar 30: A book release function of Kannada works, 'Noorentu Nenapu' and 'Arti', authored by Prof B V Artikaje was held at Vivekananda College on Sunday March 30.

Speaking after releasing the works of veteran journalist Artikaje, journalist Eshwaraiah said, the journalist who is not restricted from the tentacles of time and opportunities have the liberty of leading a life as per their own terms. 

The limited time and the pressure of limited opportunities available to the journalist makes him to think from the viewpoint of a professional under all the circumstances. But Artikaje has succeeded in expressing his thoughts directly through his work with out any fear or obligation, he said.

Urimajal Ram Bhat, honorary convener, Vivekananda Education Society presided over the function.

V G Nayak of Smriti Publications delivered the introductory speech. Vishwa Marakini proposed vote of thanks. Harinarayana Madavu compered the programme.

Prof Balakrishna Bhat Artikaje and Bhagyalakshmi Artikaje were present.
