Mangalore: Kateel Temple Goes Online to Facilitate Devotees

Mangalore, Mar 31: The devotees of Kateel Durgaparameshwari Temple will henceforth, be able to get the receipts and even claim the 'Prasadam' through online service introduced in the temple recently.

Prabhulinga Kavalakatte, administrative officer of the Temple inaugurated the website of the temple. Rama Adyantaya, regional manager, Vijaya Bank presided over the function.

Receipts for various pujas can be obtained by devotees, by making use of credit and debit cards hereafter, saving them time and money in the bargain, said Harish Shetty, head of the technical department of the website.

Devotees so far used to send the amount for the puja through money orders but now the procedure has been simplified with the implementation of internet technology and setting up of the website. The devotees can get other informational service and book for the Yakshagana performances to be conducted for meeting their religious vows, through the website www.kateeldevi.in, he revealed.

Harinarayana Das, priest, Kateel Temple, Suresh Ajila, assistant general manager, Vijaya Bank, Vishweshwara Rao, manager of the temple, Srinivas, branch manager, Vijaya Bank, Kateel and Ganesh Acharya were present on the occasion.
