Bangalore: Upendra Kamat takes over Charge as Canara Bank Ext. Director

Bangalore, Apr 1: H S Upendra Kamath has taken over as the executive director (ED) of public sector Canara Bank. He reported at his office on March 26. Earlier, he was serving Union Bank of India.

Kamath, who joined Union Bank of India as probationary officer in 1973, served the Bank in various capacities in places like Hubli, Bangalore, Belgaum etc., He also worked in the credit department of the Union Bank's head office since 2005  and functioned as the general manager of this department from 2006 onwards  till he was posted as ED of Canara Bank.
