Bangalore: Veteran Gandhian Ramaswamy Harnahally Dies

BANGALORE, APRIL 4:  VETERAN Gandhian and former Karnataka Law Minister Harnahally Ramaswamy died at a private hospital following a brief illness on Saturday.






The 87-year-old veteran, who had served as an MLC and minister in the the S M Krishna-led Congress regime, was chairman of the Lok Shikshana Trust, which publishes Samyukta Karnataka Kannada daily with separate editions in Bangalore and Hubli.

An eminent educationist associated with Malnad Educational Society running several educational institutions in Hassan, he is survived by three sons including leading advocate Ashok Harnahally.
