Karkala, Apr 20: “The BJP will lose nothing in this Lok Sabha election and is confident enough to predict the places of its success. The Congress, with the fear of defeat, has moved towards cheap publicity. But voters need not fall prey to them”, said H Halappa, minister for food and civil supplies, speaking during the BJP campaign.

The BJP activists organized a ‘Padayatra’ at Gandhinagar in Moodbodri and door-to-door campaigning on behalf of BJP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel.

“The BJP party has not got the flag of success in the Vidhan Sabha elections and hence the voters must change their decision towards BJP in the Lok Sabha election”, said Halappa.

“The Congress is criticizing even though the BJP has provided two acres of land for the construction of hostel and community hall at Shimoga, 99 acres to set-up Koti Chennayya Theme Park at Karkala, financial assistance of Rs 1 crore and Rs 2 crore for the construction of Billava Bhavan at Mangalore. Still, the Congress party is conducting cheap publicity against the BJP government on the basis of liquor sellers and Billavas,” he said.

Bahubali Prasad, K R Pandit, Lakshman Poojary, election campaign leader, Prasad Bhandary, town municipal member, and Beluvayi Bhaskar Acharya, BJP block secretary, were present on the occasion.

Mr. Halappa – This is only assurances that your government provided that and this to the public and you are conveying to the poor public. After the election, it will never come-up as real. Just fooling tricks to win the election.
