Bangalore, Apr 20: "This is a government of deceivers. The people of the state will revolt against it soon," predicted ex-Chief Minister Kumaraswamy, during his roadshow in the Lok Sabha constituencies here.

"The tall claims of the BJP leaders that they would win 22 seats in the state are laughable. The leaders of the BJP appear to be in a state of delusion. Where are the schemes like supplying rice at two rupees a kilogram, unemployment allowance and free power to farmers that the BJP had promised in its manifesto?, he asked. The government just wants to make impressive promises and then hoodwink the people, he chided.

He alleged that the BJP, instead of leading the state towards development, is trying to split the state on communal lines. It also has been making money through the business of transfers, he added.

"BJP state president D V Sadanand Gowda had said in a meeting recently, that Deve Gowda would open an astrological centre after the election. More than the JDS leaders, the leaders in the BJP are in regular contact with the astrologers. We know how many BJP leaders are organizing oblations and other puja rituals in Kerala state and seeking help from various astrologers there.  Once the election results are out, I feel Sadanand Gowda will open an astrology centre," he ridiculed.
